Rainy Day RP Guidelines

Welcome to Rainy Day RP

Rainy Day RP is built on immersive, story-driven roleplay where every character matters. Please review the standards below and reach out in the Discord if you have questions.

Quality roleplay always comes first. Use common sense, stay respectful, and keep the experience collaborative.

Basic Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Own a working microphone with clear audio
  • Be fluent in spoken English

Community Standards

All interactions on the FiveM server and in Discord must follow platform guidelines. In addition, remember the following:

  • Follow the Twitch Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
  • Follow the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
  • Play only DMCA-safe music inside the city
  • Use Discord channels appropriately and keep media or announcement feeds clear
  • Avoid direct messages to the staff team unless invited or in an emergency
  • Stream sniping and cross-server promotions are prohibited

Roleplay Rules

These policies keep conflict fair and stories authentic. If a situation is unclear, pause and ask staff before moving forward.

Metagaming

Using out-of-character knowledge that your character could not reasonably know is forbidden.

  • Acting on Discord chatter instead of uncovering the information in character
  • Watching a stream to discover hidden stashes, raids, or plans
  • Logging in purely to assist without an in-character reason
  • Discussing plans out of character and immediately executing them in character

Random Deathmatch (RDM)

You must always have clear roleplay reasoning before harming another character.

  • Opening fire during a robbery without dialogue or buildup
  • Attacking someone you dislike without interaction or story progression

Initiation of Hostilities

Every conflict must be escalated through roleplay before shots are fired.

  • Player 1: "Do not move or I will shoot."
  • Player 2 responds in character by complying, resisting, or negotiating.

No Value of Life (NVL)

Characters must value their lives when threatened with deadly force.

  • Ignoring armed gang members who demand that you surrender
  • Crashing a vehicle into the ocean to avoid capture
  • Brushing off threats while badly outnumbered

Powergaming

You may not force actions on others or abuse mechanics for advantage.

  • Executing commands such as "/me cuts off your hand" without consent
  • Designing scenes that are impossible for others to influence
  • Using systems in unintended ways that resemble exploits

Exploits and Glitches

  • Report bugs or glitches to the staff team immediately.
  • Do not exploit mechanics, including wall glitches or loot cycling.
  • Any gains from exploiting will be wiped and additional punishments may apply.

Character Creation

  • Do not copy another player character concept
  • Names must be original, non-offensive, and compliant with platform policies
  • Characters must be at least 18 years old
  • Avoid copyrighted or famous real-world personas
  • Keep characters grounded in reality; eccentric beliefs are acceptable but reality takes precedence
  • Paranormal or science fiction concepts require staff approval
  • Voice changers are allowed when they do not break immersion

Prohibited Roleplay Topics

These themes are not allowed on Rainy Day RP. Staff may expand this list at any time.

  • Suicide or self-harm roleplay
  • Erotic or explicit sexual roleplay
  • Slavery or human trafficking narratives
  • Racist, sexist, or hate group portrayals
  • Rape or sexual assault scenarios
  • Reenacting real-world tragedies or current politics

Roleplay Standards

  • Stay in character at all times. If someone breaks character, remain in character and report afterwards.
  • Use immersive language instead of game mechanic terms such as third eye or G muscle.
  • Do not refer to staff as gods or to reports as prayers. Keep interactions respectful.

Operational Policies

Server Restarts

No robberies, high-profile crimes, or competitive events fifteen minutes before or after a restart.

Criminal Group Limits

A maximum of five players may participate in an active criminal scenario. Turf or base defense may include whoever is present, but do not pre-stack backup near conflict zones.

External Communications

Do not use external tools to coordinate active roleplay. Scheduling, business planning, and sharing in-character styled documents are acceptable.

This list is not exhaustive. Use common sense and prioritize quality storytelling.

The staff team has the final say on rule interpretations, punishments, and disputes.

Loopholing, arguing technicalities, or weaponizing rules will not be tolerated.

If you are unsure whether something is acceptable, assume it is not or ask a staff member.

All rules are subject to change as needed to protect the community.
